ABOUT
Tota Mangar: First Chairman of the Board.
In 2009, the first Chairman of the Board of Directors was, Mr. Tota Mangar. He was the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Guyana and subsequently, acting Vice Chancellor.
Mr. Mangar is a historian who lectured at the Carter Brown University, Antom de Kom and, the University of Guyana.
He was succeeded by, Mr. Clifford Zammett (2010/2011) and, Mrs. Nadia Gamel-Carter (2011/2012). Mr. Tota Mangar, was returned as the Chairman for the academic year 2013/2014.
Hazel Woolford: First GIHR Director
Hazel Woolford has been the GIHR Director since 2000. She coordinates the Board meetings, and oversees the registration of the Conference Pesenters and Chairs.
Hazel Woolford is a Historian as well as a Librarian. She was the former Head of the Caribbbean Research Library,of the University of Guyana and the former Asssistant Dean of the Faculty of Arts (renamed the School of Education and Humanities).
The first Board of Directors was appointed in 2008

Natasha is a Photographer/Videographer. She enjoys modelling and storytelling. She works in the Public Relations Department of the Institute. She was appointed the Creative Director, on the Board of Directors of the Guyana Institute of Historical Research, for 2013/2014.
