Conferences
The Guyana Institute of Historical Research Conference is held annually on the last Saturday in June. The 2015 Research conference will be held on 27 June. The theme is, "The Founding fathers of Guyana and the Caribbean".
Exhibitions
The Guyana Institute of Historical Research holds exhibitions in observance of the major historical periods in Guyanese history. These include the arrival of the Amerindians, Slavery and Emancipation, Immigration, Political Independence, Mashramani and the Republic, as well as on the Constitution, Political parties and politicians.
KIDS Vacation History Programme
The KIDS Vacation History Programmeis held during the months of July to August. The KIDS Vacation History programme was held in Atlantic Gardens, from July 21 to 25, 2014.
